Essentials for NY.

So im heading to the big apple in early December and I am starting to think about my outfit choices. Obviously im going to need warmth with all the winter trechor and yet be effortlessly coooool. As well comfort for all the walking and trying to see everything, do everything and shop till I not only drop but can no longer function in the six days that we have there. Im thinking bright coral lipstick as most things in this selection are quite dark tones, also falsies as lots of photos will be being taken and I want to look my best!

Trick or Treat?

As its Halloween (well, on Monday but its pretty close) I thought I should do a spooky related post. Is anyone going out? If so what are you going to dress up as. I think I might be a little old for trick'a'treating but im definatley going to use it as an excuse to put lots of face paint all over myself and wear a bed sheet or some kind of ripped/bloody attire. I love an excuse to have my face painted. I saw these pumkins on the Vogue blog by a few different designers, they are rather cool, definatley something to get you in the mood if your not already...

Wayfaring Stranger.

I haven't really thought much of this new guy Ed Sheeran to be honest. I knew he collaborated with the Rizzle Kicks in You need me, I don't need you. Which I actually thought was really good, so I dont know why I haven't looked into this Sheeran guy a bit more. But then Sophie @BABYGOTHGIRL (my flatmate) introduced me to his new album '+'. It is officially amazing. I would like to say they are all amazing and listen to them on repeat forever, but this one stands out the most to me. He's made the whole song inc harmonies, backing track etc. all simply with his own mouth. Heres the clip of him singing it, 'Wayfaring Stranger' from you tube...okay so I couldn't work out how to put the video in this post, and the internet/blogging genius is currently out of the flat so here's the link to it, ha.

You should also check out his new song 'Lego House', the video is rather funny too.

You cant catch Clyde.

So I watched Bonnie and Clyde for the first time last night. The first original one with Warren Beatty and Faye Dunaway. Based on a true story, I wouldnt say I condone what they got upto but you have to admit that they went down in history and its kind of beautiful. The way they did what they wanted, when they wanted. All they needed was each other - and a bank full of money, roaming around America going wherever the mood took them. I really enjoyed this 60's movie, it gets a bit silly around the middle with all the killing etc, but hey ho, its all good. The thing I really enjoyed and the reason I actually watched it was, apart from Warren Beatty's beauty, Faye's outfits.

She definatley embodies sex and glamour in this film, something not seen before this movie came out. Bonnie and Clyde was one of the first films of the new hollywood era, popular with the younger generation of this time, Fayes outfits and all over styling would have been very influential for the female audiences. A remake of the film is due to be released this year, Hilary Duff was due to play Bonnie but has dropped out sadly.

Dilema.

Okay, so im in a bit of a pickle. Up untill about 6 months ago I had been blonde. Then decided to take the plunge and go to the dark side. Although I love being brunette I am recently feeling swayed by the blonde. What do you think? Here is Drew with the exact colour I want...
Dark/Golden blonde, hmmmm.
And here is me, blonde and brunette...

I apologise for the vile brunette picture, it the only one I have :s. What do you think?

Softmints on the Train.

Went back to Cornwall this weekend to see the fam and friends :). I always forget how much I love Cornwall when I go and live in the city. I miss the beach and the pasties and the cider and the moors and the sheep and the SEEEAAAA sooo much (and of course my family). It was a flying visit but it was proper job (Cornish lingo). And earlier today my mum cooked the most badass roast, she then made me beef sandwiches with the leftover meat for my journey back to London. Shes the best. Sadly I didn't take a photograph of that, but I did get some of these when we went up-to the moors (my back garden) for a walk...

The best one and her bab, Benjamin.

Check out Ruths laaavly winter woolie. Its got a mountain on it, Charity shop!
And this is where we go swimming in summer...

Sad to be going home now but have to get back to the real world, Uni!
